LeAnanda Yoga was created by Leanne Jones in 2012 as a result of her love for Yoga.
Ananda is one of the first Sanskrit words Leanne learnt on her Yoga Teacher training course, and fell in love with its meaning immediately – it refers to our Inner depths of supreme bliss, so hence the wonderful combination of the words 'Leanne' & 'Ananda' to make LeAnanda Yoga.
Leanne is a 300hr certified Jivamukti yoga teacher and 500hr BWY Hatha Yoga teacher. She has been practising Yoga since 2008 but believes she will now be practising yoga for the rest of her life. Leanne found yoga at a tough time in her life and has realised that slowly but surely it is changing her life for the better. Leanne realised how calm, peaceful and inspiring her yoga teachers were and knew that she wanted to be like them, understanding that Yoga would help her daily life physically, mentally and emotionally. She knew she wanted to learn more about these profound teachings and be able to share them with others. As soon as Leanne was able to she signed up to the BWY Foundation course and completed that with Sarah Harris in Letchworth. Through this Leanne’s personal practice and exploration continued and very quickly realised she wanted to learn even more so signed up for the BWY teacher training. Leanne studied with Andrea Kwiatkowski for her BWY training and graduated in 2014. Andrea also introduced her to the wonderful method of Jivamukti Yoga. Consequently Leanne completed the Jivamukti training in Dorset in 2012 with her beloved teachers Sharon Gannon, David Life, Yogeswari & Patrick Broome.
In January 2014 Leanne also trained to become a Thai Yoga Massage therapist with her teacher Ralf Marzen from Mudita Thai Yoga Massage School in London. After completing 30 case studies, Leanne Passed her final assessment in November 2015. She also moved to Bournemouth, England in 2014 to have her first baby. Leanne is enjoying applying the yogic teachings to motherhood.
Leela- Devi is the spiritual name that Leanne was blessed with in 2016. It was given to her by her harmonium teacher Acharya Bankim Gossai. Leela (often spelt Lila) means playful or refers to the drama of life and Devi refers to the mother Goddess.
June 2017 saw Leanne complete her Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki Level 1 training under the guidance of Master teacher Natalie Wilcox.. Leanne directly experienced the healing benefits of Reiki throughout her second pregnancy and her first and second attunements took place while she was heavily pregnant with her second child. She see's this as a true gift to herself and baby. Leanne plans to continue working with Reiki for the benefit of herself and others in conjunction with Yoga and Thai Yoga Massage in the future.
Leanne is truly thankful every day for the gift of Yoga. Leanne’s personal mantra is “one must lift oneself up, by oneself”. Om Shanti.
LeAnanda Yoga would like to give thanks to her family & teachers, Denise Stickland, Andrea Kwiatkowski, Katy Lowe, Ralf Marzen, Acharya Bankim Gossai & Natalie Wilcox, for their continuous inspiration.
Testimonials..... With many many thanks and great gratitude to the students who wrote them.
"Leanne Jones is an amazing yoga teacher, with an amazing aura around her. I’d never heard of Jivamukti Yoga before attending Leanne’s class. The focus of the month and the chanting are very peaceful and have helped me focus on my inner self and how my behaviour affects others, rather than just focus on myself. No matter how busy the class is she will always find time for every student as needed. The hands on adjustment Leanne provides during her class make such a big difference to my practice. It helps me to understand how to best align my body, and helps me take note of what I think is correct alignment and how my body should actually feel once my posture has been adjusted. Often, the minute adjustments make such a big difference and I can really feel my body working. I’ve noticed such amazing changes to my body and posture since I began attending Leanne’s class.
The asanas in each class are all linked into a dynamic series, flowing from one to the next with emphasis on the breath to guide you through the practice. Leanne makes her class as challenging as her students need it to be, encouraging each student to practice to their own ability. Attending one of Leanne’s master classes is a must. You’ll leave the class feeling like you've worked your body to the best of its ability and also feeling relaxed. The master class is a very small group to allow for one to one adjustment for each student throughout the class. I would highly recommend Leanne’s class to anyone that would like explore the more spiritual side of yoga through Jivamukti, or indeed anyone that is just looking for dynamic class."

"Leanne Jones is not only a yoga teacher she is my inspiration. Her Jivamukti classes are so uplifting for the body and soul. What I love the most about her it's her knowledge combined with passion. When I first start practising yoga I found it hard to keep still, to hold the pose and breath. What Leanne taught me is that you are never too old or too injured. Yoga it's about uncovering who you truly are. It's about letting go, being kind to yourself so you can be kind to others. Being healthy without pushing myself to the limit. Slowing down to hold the pose, breath and smile from the inside . Chanting at the beginning and end of the practice is a great form of relaxation. Every time I leave her class I feel rejuvenated and positive. Thank you Leanne you are truly amazing lady. Your class it's the hardest thing I have ever done but also the best."
