Our Second Menopause Yoga Workshop with Leanne Jones & Hannah Clark “Menopause Yoga- An Ayurvedic approach” Focusing on hot flushes, irritability & rage. In Ayurveda, these are the Pitta dosha symptoms. Saturday 10th Feb 10:30-1:30pm £40 (including tea & snack) It's open to anyone who is experiencing or has experienced menopause symptoms and would like to connect with other women going through this incredible stage of life. Remember: Menopause symptoms can begin in your late 30’s and continue months or even years after your last period as your body adjusts. The Menopause Yoga method created by Petra Coveney aims to Educate, Empower & Embrace the menopause as an opportunity for Self-knowledge, health & empowerment. Our second menopause yoga workshop will focus on imbalances in the Pitta dosha, which commonly show up as hot flushes, irritability and rage. The workshop will look at some simple ways you can start to embrace those changes through yoga, breathwork, meditation and ayurveda. The session will be led by Leanne, LeAnanda Yoga founder who has completed the 40hr Menopause Yoga training with Petra Coveney, along with her 12 year teaching experience and Hannah Clark who is an Ayurveda student clinician. Ayurveda is the science of life and sits alongside Yoga as a holistic approach to mind body healing and health. Key elements that feature in a Menopause Yoga workshop: 1. Womens circle 2. Yoga Sequences 3. Meditation, mindfulness and breathing techniques 4. Positive psychology 5. Journaling In this workshop, we will acknowledge the huge variety of menopause symptoms and Hannah will share some specific information on the pitta dosha and how it relates to menopause symptoms like hot flushes. We will have time to discuss & share experience without judgement, in a safe and supportive way. Leanne will then guide a practice sequence encompassing Hatha, Yin and restorative poses as well as meditation and breathing practices to calm the nervous system and relieve hot symptoms. We will also introduce you to some simple journaling techniques to get you started if you’re new to journaling. We will conclude with self-massage, some ayurvedic tea and ojas (energy) balls, so you feel empowered to embrace menopause.
You can manage your own cancellations and re-book through the member login section of the website at the top right of the page or through the fit by wix app. You can also re-schedule classes here to. Cancellations and re-schedule must be 3hrs before the class start time. If you cancel anything less than 3hrs before the start of the class you will not be credited or refunded. We appreciate unexpected matters occur from time to time, if you can’t make it to class, please LOG IN to cancel your space so someone else can have it. We cannot issue credits for last-minute cancellations. Due to the nature of our booking system (like most) we incur a fee from a banking merchant every time you buy a class or class pass, this also applies every time we issue you a refund. We will issue a refund only if there is no chance of you coming back to the studio and a class credit is not acceptable. Please email us to let us know if this is the case.
