The Sacred Journey: How Our Memberships Honour the Hindu Trimurti

Discovering the deeper meaning behind our Bronze Creation, Silver Sustain, and Gold Transform plans
Discovering the deeper meaning behind our Bronze Creation, Silver Sustain, and Gold Transform plans

When we designed our membership offerings at LeAnanda Yoga, we didn't just want to create pricing tiers - we wanted to honour the sacred journey that every yogi embarks upon. That's why our three membership levels are inspired by the Hindu Trinity: the divine forces that govern all existence and evolution which mirror the stages of our yoga practice.

Bronze Creation Plan: Embracing Brahma, The Creator

"In the beginning, there was potential waiting to unfold..."

Picture Leanne, stepping onto her yoga mat for the very first time. Her hands shake slightly as she attempts her first Downward Dog, her mind racing with thoughts of "Am I doing this right?... What are all these block things for??" This is the sacred space of Brahma - the creator, the beginning, the spark of opening to infinite possibility.

Brahma represents the creative force that brings new worlds into being. In the Hindu trinity, or Trimurti, Brahma is typically depicted with four heads and four arms. He is often shown with a white beard, representing his age and wisdom. His four heads are believed to represent the four Vedas, the most ancient Hindu scriptures.

Brahma's four arms typically hold symbols of creation and knowledge, such as a rosary (representing the turning of time), a water pot (representing the potential for creation, cleansing, new starts), a spoon (representing sacrifices), and the Vedas themselves (representing knowledge). He is also sometimes depicted with a lotus flower.

In your yoga journey, this is where everything begins. It's the courage to try something new, the willingness to be a beginner, and the vulnerability of creating a practice that starts you off well. Our Bronze Creation Plan offers you the foundation to build upon - just as Brahma laid the foundation of the universe.

How it guides your commitment: Like any act of creation, consistency is key. This plan encourages you to show up regularly (once a week) to plant seeds of practice that will grow into something magnificent. It's about creating new neural pathways, new habits, and a new relationship with your body and breath.

Silver Sustain Plan: Walking with Vishnu, The Preserver and Sustainer

"The practice deepens, roots grow stronger" You start saying, "I can feel it in myself" when you miss a class.

Meet James, six months into his yoga journey. He no longer wobbles in Tree Pose, he's taken class every week and knows how to work with his knee injury, his breath has become his anchor. He's discovered that yoga isn't just about the poses - it's about sustaining a way of being that extends far beyond the mat. This is Vishnu's realm.

Vishnu, the preserver and protector, maintains the balance of the universe. In the Hindu Trimurti, Vishnu is typically depicted as a four-armed human figure with blue skin, often adorned with royal jewels and a crown. He is known as the preserver and sustainer of the universe, and his four arms each hold a specific symbolic object. These objects include a conch shell (representing the primordial sound of creation), a discus (representing the mind), a lotus flower (representing liberation and beauty), and a mace (representing strength). The blue colour of his skin symbolises the infinite and the sky, reflecting his all-pervading nature. As Shri Brahmananda Saraswati said "You are the Blue Sky"

In your practice, this represents the phase where yoga becomes woven into the fabric of your life. You're no longer just learning poses; you're sustaining a practice that nourishes your soul, maintains your wellbeing, and preserves your inner peace amidst life's storms.

How it guides your commitment: The Silver Sustain Plan supports you in maintaining consistent practice even when life fluctuates a little. Like Vishnu's steady presence, it helps you preserve the gains you've made and sustain the transformation that's already begun. It's about showing up more than once a week. Krishna (an incarnation of Vishnu) says in the Bhagavad Gita, "No effort in Yoga is ever wasted". By now, you have created a steady and stable weekly practice and you're ready for a little more.

Gold Transform Plan: Dancing with Shiva, The Transformer

"Where destruction meets creation, where the old self dissolves to birth the new and dedication becomes devotion..."

Then there's Leanne (12 months after her first class), she's a dedicated practitioner who's discovered that yoga is her path to profound transformation. She's learned to breathe through discomfort, to find stillness in chaos, and to let go of who she thought she was to become who she's meant to be. She dances in Shiva's transformative fire and turns up for class 2,3,4 times a week and practices at home at other times.

Shiva, the transformer and destroyer, clears away what no longer serves to make space for new growth. This destruction is a necessary step for recreation and transformation. He is often portrayed with a third eye, which represents his ability to see clearly and beyond the surface, a crescent moon is associated with his control over time, a blue throat from a myth where he drank poison to save the world from its destructive effects, and a trident which represents the three Gunas (qualities of nature) He is also often shown with a snake around his neck, ashes on his body, and as an ascetic in yogic postures. Shiva is the first Yogi.

How it guides your commitment: The Gold Transform Plan is for those ready to dive deep, to commit fully to the transformative power of yoga. It supports intensive practice, a strong stable body and the kind of dedicated study that leads to profound personal evolution. It's about surrendering to the process of becoming and showing up, not just when you feel like it, and especially when you don't.

Your Yoga Journey Awaits

Whether you're just beginning to create new possibilities, working to sustain a practice that nourishes you, or ready to transform at the deepest levels, remember that each stage is sacred. The Hindu Trinity reminds us that creation, preservation, and transformation are not separate processes - they're the eternal dance of existence itself, birth, life & death.

Which one is for you? Your practice - and your membership - can honour exactly where you are while supporting exactly where you're going. We'll meet you where you are.
